Dr. Aslam-Pervez is dually qualified, having completed his Dental training from the University of Glasgow and his Medical training from the University of Manchester. He is also currently undertaking a Masters (MSc) in Implantology at the University of Cardiff.
He has placed hundreds of implants in multiple practices and hospitals across the United Kingdom. In the NHS, Dr. Aslam-Pervez works as a Specialty Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery providing services at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (Glasgow), Royal Blackburn Hospital, Royal Bolton Hospital and North Cumberland Infirmary. His work in these hospitals involves managing complex patients in Head and Neck Cancer, Deformity and Trauma.
Being both a dentist and a practicing medical doctor provides him with a special set of skills to undertake complicated implantology cases referred by other dentists such as those requiring sinus lifts, bone grafting and nerve repositioning surgery.
Dr. Aslam-Pervez has gained several postgraduate qualifications and is committed to continual professional development. He has gained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) from the Royal College of Surgeons, England.
Dr. Aslam-Pervez has also been involved with the Faculty of General Dental Practice (FGDP) in Scotland, which involves teaching and preparing postgraduate dentists to sit the MJDF examination. Bilal underwent further training within the field of Oral surgery at the Glasgow Dental Hospital and School, which also involved teaching dental undergraduates.
