I graduated with a Bachelors in Dental Surgery from the University of Glasgow. During this time, I completed a study on Hand Hygiene practice with my colleague Catherine. We won the University elective prize for this and went on to win the Premier Symposium Undergraduate prize; with our findings being presented at a national conference in London.

After University, I completed my Vocational training at a large practice in Dunoon. I have also worked in the Community Dental Service in Falkirk. Here I gained a range of experience’s including general anaesthetic, paediatric dentistry, dementia, special needs and anxious patients.

I then went on to work in the Restorative department at Glasgow Dental Hospital specialising in fixed and removable prosthodontics. I had the opportunity to work with and learn from a number of highly qualified consultants. I gained experience in more difficult restorative cases within the following disciplines- dentures, tooth wear, crown and bridge’s. I helped treat complex trauma and oncology cases.

During this time I gained Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS) through the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow.

Since then, I have worked the previous three years in Alexandria, originally as Kinloch Dental Practice now APCO Dental Care. I enjoy working in general practice as I get to know my patients and their families by seeing them on a regular basis. It is rewarding when a patient is often very anxious about dental treatment and you can help them conquer their fear.

Outwith Dentistry, I enjoy travelling and spending time with my family and friends.
