I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2010. During my Undergraduate training I was awarded the Glasgow Dental Hospital Elective Prize and achieved 1st place in the Dental Protection Premier Awards Undergraduate Category for a healthcare improvement project that I completed with Rhoda Kirkland, another dentist at the practice.

Following graduation I went home to Northern Ireland and worked in a busy dental practice just outside of Belfast, where I completed my Vocational Training year and developed my skills in all aspects of general Dentistry.  While at this practice, I passed my Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) qualification.

In 2013, I decided to move back to Scotland and worked for the Public Dental Service, mainly providing treatment for anxious and special care patients, as well as taking part in the children’s general anaesthetic service.

I joined the APCO Dental team in 2015 and plan to undertake courses in facial aesthetics and Short-Term Orthodontics. I would also like to further my interest in Paediatric and Restorative Dentistry with treatment of anxious patients.

I travelled to Ethiopia in 2012 and 2014 to provide dental care for children in a school in Bekoji with the charity ‘Stand By Me’. These children had never seen a dentist before, and I found it to be an extremely rewarding experience both personally and professionally.

Outside of work I love to travel and visit my family and friends at home in Northern Ireland. I also love going to concerts and putting my Cineworld card to good use!
